Mid Maryland Boys Basketball

Game Reporting Procedure

GAME REPORTING PROCEDURES

All League game results are required to be reported, by the home team, no later than midnight on the date the game is played.

All reports must be made via e-mail. Boys results go to dcline0502@aol.com and Girls reports to John Beck at john@beckhouse.us

A complete game report should include:

- the final score in the initial sentence

- the leading scorer(s) on each team and all players with ten points or more (first and last name and NO uniform numbers – rosters are posted on the League websites)

- other key contributors – leaders in rebounding, steals, assists, etc.

- any game highlights – game-winning shot, scoring run that decided the game, etc.

- names of any coach or player ejected from the game for fighting or abusive language (these will not be published)

Both the varsity and jayvee game should be submitted in the same email so please coordinate this between your reporters.

Reports should be provided in paragraph format, ready to “copy/paste” (NO ALL CAPS) directly into the Game Wrapups page on the League web sites. First and last names should be capitalized and uniform numbers should NOT be included. Single-digit numbers should be written out (two, three, etc.).

The head coach, assistant, team parent or any other responsible party can report games. The head coach, however, is responsible for seeing that his/her game is reported.

Failure to do so, by the posted deadline, will result in:

a warning on the first occurrence
a one-game suspension of the head coach for each subsequent occurrence

An incomplete report is treated as no report, so don’t provide information on your team and not the opposition.
